Seattle, WA — November 17th, 2006-- Sustainable Group is proud to announce that our REBINDER is now 100% Replanted!
Our 1, 2 and 3 inch Rebinders are made from a minimum of 35-38% Post Consumer Recycled Fibers. Corrugated Cardboard requires some virgin fibers to give rigidity and crush strength. To offset all of the non recycled content in our Rebinder, Sustainable Group has signed on with the 100% Replanted Program.
The trees planted through the 100% Replanted Program are planted in the Guacerique Watershed in central Honduras and the Magdelana Protected area in northern El Salvador. Why Central America? The cost of planting trees is low, in a tropical climate trees grow much faster, and the tree nurseries create jobs for local people. Read More
